Rough Writing

For the past month I’ve been prepping to start this blog by writing blog post ideas and story ideas and outlines so that I would have some confidence that I’d be able to accomplish the goals I have for myself and this blog. I dug out my old voice recorder and started using commute times as creativity muscle work outs. Either coming up with blog ideas or stories or working through stories I’m writing.

This blog is at its simplest a place for me to share pieces of my writing but also as a personal record of progress towards being a better writer. I chose “Rough Writing” as the title because my stories are not going to be perfect. They are going to be rough. But I’m committed to writing them. Every journey begins with one first step and this blog is the beginning of my journey to be a fiction writer.
